Carl R. Ferris Health Sciences Library

- Patrons can email the Health Sciences Librarian via a link on the upper left side of the page.
- Many useful links are available via the topic tabs on the left side of the page.
- Utilize the Find a Resource box to see if the Library licenses a particular journal title
- If the title is available, click on it.
- A drop-down listing will indicate the vendor or product through which the title is licensed, as well as the range (years or volumes) that is available via the license.
Ebsco (Vendor)
- RMC Databases (CINAHL; Medline; Psychology & Behavioral Sciences; Health Business Elite; Atla Religion Database with Atla Serials)
- Full-text is available for a variety of electronic journals
- Within databases, Patrons can create a personal folder to save items for later use.

The Medline database is available via PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), via our Ebsco (vendor) license and via our Ovid (vendor) license. Full-text availability differs with each license.

- In addition to approximately 8,000 eJournals, the Library also licenses approximately 2,000 ebooks.
- Some products include CE opportunities (Ex: Clinical Key Medicine; Up-to-Date; Clinical Key Nursing; Nursing Reference Center Plus).
- Point-of-Care products (Ex: Clinical Key Medicine; Clinical Key Nursing; Nursing Reference Center Plus; Up-to-Date) may include drug monographs, surgery or procedure videos, and patient education/consumer health/discharge planning materials.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
- If the request is Copyright Compliant, and if neither HCA nor RMC licenses the desired journal, every effort will be made to obtain the needed document via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
- Just forward the citation for the needed article. If utilizing PubMed, for your Literature Search, please include the PMID of the requested item.
- If there is an unforeseen barrier to requesting or to receipting the document, the Library Patron will be notified.
- For a variety of reasons, the Library is unable to borrow books that we do not own/license.
