2019 INMED/YWAM Ships Service-Learning Experience
Participants in the 2019 Kona, Hawaii, INMED Courses, hosted by YWAM Ships, are encouraged to immediately apply their new knowledge and skills through a hands-on service-learning experience. Following conclusion of the INMED Courses on October 19, 2019, Course Graduates are invited to travel to PNG for a two-weeks of supervised clinical experience called an Outreach scheduled from October 24 to November 9.
OUTREACH EXPERIENCE

PROFESSONAL DIPLOMA QUALIFICATION
Participation in this service-learning experience will allow INMED Courses graduates to qualify for the INMED Professional Diploma in International Medicine, International Nursing, or International Public Health – provided that participants are already licensed in their professions.
APPLICATION
Registration for the 2019 INMED/YWAM Ships Service-Learning Experience requires two separate applications. Participants must apply for the INMED Professional Diploma and must also apply to YWAM Ships Kona Medical Volunteers.
OPTIONAL OPHTHALMOLOGY TRACT
Dr. Edward Kondfrot, Florida-licensed ophthalmologist, will be offering a one-day wet lab on MSICS (manual small incision cataract surgery) in Kona, Hawaii on Friday, October 18. Following conclusion of the MSICS Course on October 18, 2019, participants invited to travel to PNG with Dr. Kondfrot and the INMED Course graduates for the same two-weeks of supervised clinical experience called an Outreach scheduled from October 24 to November 9.
