Professional Diploma In International Medicine & Public Health – DIMPH
Overview
This professional diploma program is designed for physicians, physician assistants, dentists, pharmacists and learners of these professions to complement their education with academic skills and clinical experience in international medicine, including rotations at INMED International Medicine Training Sites. Equipped in this way, recipients of the INMED Professional Diploma in International Medicine & Public Health (DIMPH) will be prepared to lead comprehensive disease intervention and health promotion efforts in low-resource and cross-cultural communities.

Competency Objectives
At the completion of the INMED Professional Diploma in International Medicine & Public Health learners will be able to demonstrate through simulation and actual professional practice:
- Management and prevention of the leading diseases of poverty
- Management and prevention of HIV infection
- Care for the health of pregnant women and newborns
- Proficiency in clinical skills useful in low-resource settings
- Skill in community-wide health promotion and death/disability prevention
- Culturally appropriate healthcare
- Proficiency in disaster mitigation and response
- Design and implementation of team-lead healthcare interventions
- Transfer of healthcare skills to other personnel
