Biostatistical concepts and tools are needed for summarizing and analysing data. This is especially true in epidemiological research, which requires the use of samples to make inferences about entire populations. This content will describe basic concepts and methods, and how to summarize data. Although calculations can be complex, the concepts underlying statistical tests are often quite simple.
